Did you ever wonder how the banks managed to spend money they never had, how they were able to plunge us into debt without anyone stopping them? Do you think you could do better?

The time is 6.30pm and the temperature in the room is 19 degrees, you are placed at a casino table with 6 strangers and together you become your own empire. The rules seem simple enough: it’s a game of chance based on a toss of a dice, you can gamble with money, loans and bonds and – as you are the 1% – you are trusted to borrow more money in order to invest. You are guided through the rules by your croupier who is always on hand to make you aware of new ways you can “make” money. However the room is full of tables. Can you trust your neighbouring empires?

An utterly unique experience, £¥€$ (LIES) is a completely interactive production that will make you question the very notion of money. It’s not for everyone but if you like the idea of being part of an immersive theatre event that throws up questions about the people we entrust our money to, then queue up and grab a ticket.

Be prepared to talk to strangers, gamble with your neighbours money, bet against your partner’s interests, lose millions and gain a new insight into the world of trade.
