Devised by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, Blank is an innovative, improvisational play that relies on the audience to create a story. This approach allows for a full range of human stories, either regular or fantastical, to be told and engages audience members in the storytelling process.
The whole experience is, as a result, entirely dependent on the willingness and enthusiasm of the crowd. The audience member selected to be the main character of our play is creative and humorous, and the rest of us, whilst hesitant at first, soon become increasingly involved in deciding what direction the story takes.
Blank is highly recommended for anyone interested in the creativity of the Fringe and the process of creating a narrative.
