Wearing a fake wig and an Underbelly staff shirt, Sam Simmons herds the audience into the room heckling and joking around. Already Simmons is building rapport with his spectators, many of whom have returned due to his award-winning show from last year.

While creative and very original, Simmons’ new show is a, self-proclaimed, very different affair from last year. With an amusing random selection of props, from roller blades to a framed picture of a real estate agent, Simmons successfully entertains. His obsession with birds and use of fake kangaroo hands delivers a quirky experience belonging to a different strain of comedy.

At times the audience is left confused, intentionally by Simmons. However, his natural stage presence keeps the audience laughing and intrigued to find out the end result. Simmons’ eccentric comedy is one worth experiencing for its uniqueness and imagination.
