Suzi Ruffell is no stranger to the Edinburgh Festival, and she’s back with her colloquial comedy show, Common.
She paints the audience a great picture; recounting tales from her life growing up working class and poor in Southampton, the beloved daughter of a “proper geezer.”
She’s delightfully mad; she tells us about her baby that’s a cat, her doorstep disputes with Jehovah’s Witnesses and her whole family’s obsession with luck – she’s a joy to watch for an hour.
Ruffell is witty and quick with her audience, providing nonstop chuckles – its honest and raw comedy at its best. She’s energetic and captivating from the get go and her show creates big laughs from start to finish, a must see at the festival.
