This latest opera by liveartshow centres on the story of Matthew and Jenny, and their efforts to meticulously plan the rest of their lives together. United by their frustration at a dead end job in a mysterious data handling agency, the couple spend seven years attempting to combat fate by writing a script for their future.
It’s an interesting enough premise, but feels slightly underdeveloped. The majority of the show is dedicated to uncovering the mechanics of the concept, rather than its actual ramifications (both personal and theoretical).
This said, Matthew Bulgo and Jennifer Adams offer accomplished performances, and the script remains well paced and engaging.
