All Aboard The Marriage Hearse takes place in a living room and follows the ins and outs of a heated argument between long term couple, Sean and Amy.
Just back from a wedding, slightly tipsy and with marriage on the brain, the couple argue about why they believe or don’t believe in the institution of matrimony. The dialogue is sharp and the audience very much feel like spectators of something wonderfully mundane, but relationship defining.
The audience become a part of the couple’s journey, gripped by the fantastic performances. There’s funny moments which carry well despite the play having a very American feel. It seems marriage and its woes creates a universal understanding amongst audiences which make this performance relatable and thought provoking.
