This thrilling play will have you hooked from the very beginning. An ordinary young woman, who went from university to a highly paid job as a phone insurance seller, realises she wants to do more for people. This is how she decides to become a social worker.
Our hero finds herself vilified on social media as she becomes the target of a witch-hunt because of the gruesome outcome of one of her cases. The actual outcome is not revealed until the end, and most of the play jumps between her happy life before and the terrible fallout after.
The outstanding performer moves seamlessly from monologue to addressing the audience – who are literally inches away from her – in a perfectly paced script that is gripping the whole way through, only to reveal an abrupt ending that will send shivers down your spine.
An absolute must-see, Villain is a truly terrifying production.
